Easter 2010

Our Easter this year was quite uneventful. We did the usual: "wake up and find your basket," breakfast, conference, change a room around, conference/nap, dinner, and a walk.
I hate not being home for the holidays. I know we should start our own tradition, which we do, but there's always something missing. Our families and extended families are so important to us. And not being able to spend those fun moments together is getting harder and harder.
Military has its up's, but it also has its down's, and not being with those close to you is a downer! I am grateful that Josh does get to spend so much time with Isabel and I. We never know when he could say good-bye again. So I make those moments count!
I was just realizing how hard the next deployment will be. Josh and I are pros and being separated for a long period of time, but we have Isabel to think about now. She and Josh will have a really hard time when it comes time. Just the other day I asked Isabel who her best friend was, I was hoping for a "mommy", but she replied quickly with a "daddy" and followed by a "grama." Who knows where I fit in to that picture?
I will definitely need lots of help when that time comes.
Anyways, Easter was a wonderful, hot day! Maybe I am glad I was in DC instead of in a snow storm.

Isabel wanted a Beauty and the Beast Egg. I tried really hard, please don't mock my creative ability!

Isabel is moving up quickly. We took down her crib completely and made it into a full. Granted we need to get a step stool for her, but she loves her new bed. She asked me today is she could take a nap in her new bed! (Please notice her Handy Manny Tool! She is not so girly after all!)
