Since January....

Since January we have been keeping busy while traveling back and forth from Utah, Arizona, and San Diego. Josh is still out on deployment and missing all the fun. We can't wait for him to get back to us. It will be a wonderful homecoming, especially when he will be coming home to not 2 but 3 of us. How strange that will be for him. Not a day has gone by that Isabel does not mention him or say something in reference to him. For example, she wants dad noodles for dinner (top ramen) or dads flower seeds (sunflower seeds), or wrestling like dad. He was worried she would forget, but it is very hard to forget your best friend. Even if you are 2 and turned 3 while gone.
We had to celebrate Isabel's 3 birthday without Josh. But we went home to Utah and family made Isabel feel so special. Her Pascal cake was the highlight of her birthday. Thanks to my Aunt Julie and Layer.
I have posted other adventures following this post. Hope you enjoy. And next post will most likely be baby 2 and Josh's homecoming.

My mom flew to San Diego and stayed for a week before driving back to Utah with me. Of course we had so much fun. Isabel was so happy to have someone besides me in the house. My mom was so happy just to spin on the spinnie thing at the park. She helped with with Iz so much. She helped get her ready for picture day at school and watch her while I had Dr appointment, dentist appointments, and other things that I had to do that are hard with Isabel. I love that my mom is still such a kid at heart. I mean hop scotch and Pepsi floats, not to mention flying a kite at the beach! I can't wait to get her back to play while I have this baby. She will actually be Josh's replacement, which is perfect. The next best thing!

So mad I forgot my camera for the best moments!

Our little fairy girls and all the friends ("kids") we played with.

Spending time with my in-laws is always fun with many adventures. We drove to Mt Pleasant to see Grandpa Poulsen and visit Grama Poulsen's grave site. I am glad we went, especially since Josh couldn't be there with us. It was a much needed trip to see Grandpa and to let Isabel meet him. While at the cemetery it was very hard to keep Cameron and Isabel from running around, even Nicholas was running with them. Isabel has some bad luck coming to her though. She sat on a tombstone, which was smaller, but she knocked it down. At the time I was so mad and embarrassed, but looking back it is sort of funny. Obviously it was already cracked and split, so to watch Isabel knock it down was just natural.
We watched Cameron race his BMX. He is an all-star! He won first place. Apparently, he does all the time! So glad we got to see him in action.
And of course, it wouldn't be a visit with the Linares' without going to the mall. Luckily they serve Ice Cream at the mall, which grandpa was happy to get Isabel many helpings!

And lastly, Isabel eating saltines in Josh's old room and bed. Like father like Daughter.....oh great!

Alert: I forgot my camera so I had to use my camera phone to capture some perfect moments. I was so mad!

We went home to Utah in May to meet my new nephews. Yes, my superwomen sister had twins! The cutest things since Bret and Bean. (sorry guys, your old men now!)
Malcolm and Miles or Miles and Malcolm. Not sure which way is flows better. They loved me! I had lots of practice changing boy diapers. Got peed and poop on, but only by Miles. He must feel comfortable with me!
My mom and aunt Wendy are proud holders of the twins. I am sure my aunt Wendy was having flashbacks of her boys. I couldn't really tell if they were good or bad though!

The first day I was introduced to the boys. They really were so special. Then I helped Tiffany the following night. I let her sleep through the night while I tended to the boys. Yes, it was difficult but they just slept on me most the night. I am embarrassed of my sleeping picture, but look how peaceful we all are. Technically I am holding and sleeping with three boys! Go me!

My sisters first day out with the boys. We had lunch, sat and talked, and enjoyed quiet time without the other girls running around.

.....Continued

Tide Pools in Point Loma. Isabel was singing "Part of your World" the entire time. She really thought Flounder and Sebastian where going to swim up and play.
Pretty sure she warmed up the water in this photo!

I have passed the last and final trimester of this pregnancy. It is exciting because it is just closer to also having Josh back. Only a couple struggles have gotten in my way. First, being a single parent and pregnant is very hard especially when not close to family. I have to rely a lot my church members to help me. There is nothing better then knowing that I have them as family. Second, military midwives and military hospitals are very hard to work with. I never know who I will be seeing and never know what to expect. Good thing I have been through it once so I have a feel. Third, varicose veins are the worse pregnancy "side effect" ever. My left leg looks and feels horrible all the time. I wear a full length sleeve to keep in compressed and in hopes from getting blood clots. I have already looked in to getting it taking care of after this boy is born! I shouldn't complain too much, I don't have stretch marks! Yippie. And lastly, it is summer time, which means I have to get into a swimming suit and swim with Isabel. I don't have airconditioning at my place, so the pool is the only way to really cool off. Luckily it isn't too hot yet. Thanks to my aunt for letting my borrow a suit. I don't look all the bad right?!!

The weather is still not all that hot in San Diego. Only reaching high 70's and 60's. But thatdoesn't stop Isabel and from venturing outside and to fun places. Even though I dread it taking her anywhere because that requires me to run after her. If you know Isabel, she can't stay in one place more than a second. Just like any 3 year old I guess, it is a workout to keep her from running out in the street, knocking things off shelves or clothing racks, jumping on grocery carts when there is nothing in them and then having them topple on top of her! Yes, Josh asks what sort of mother I am and why his daughter is getting hurt so much? Well get home and I will show you buddy! At least she is still in tact and smiling!
